Recently my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to win a 2 night stay at the The Blue Hayes Hotel in St Ives, thanks to the lovely guys and gals at the West Cornwall Pasty Co. Even better, our stay was due around the time of our two year anniversary!
On arrival at Blue Hayes we were greeted at the door by the most welcoming staff, Malcolm and Kirsty. They showed us the quickest way to get into St Ives, just a short 10 minute walk with beautiful views from the coast path.
The highlights of our stay were...
1) The food and cocktails at The Hub - a must visit if you love eating "dirty". Not ashamed to say we went there two nights in a row because we loved it so much.
2) The stunning views wherever you look. If you were kidnapped and woke up in St Ives you could be fooled into thinking you've ended up at Feurteventura, going by the white sand and turquoise sea.
3) The food, the staff and the Master bedroom at Blue Hayes... my boyfriend took the breakfast as a fine-dining all-you-can-eat challenge!!!! Which Jade, our lovely waitress even encouraged, making us feel even more at home!
4) The simple things at Blue Hayes... we can't thank the staff enough for their sweet little touches for our welcome and our anniversary!
5) Walking the coastal paths near Lands End, Sennen Cove and the Minack Theatre. Just ask Malcolm at Blue Hayes and he'll do you a little print-out of this trip - nothing is too much trouble!
Thank you so much to everyone at the West Cornwall Pasty Co. and the Blue Hayes Hotel for giving us such a lovely anniversary weekend away! We'll treasure the memories forever and hope to return again in the future!
